Abstract
In the past, traffic science did not always have the role andtask in accordance with its needs and abilities.The analyses reveal that scientific research in the field oftraffic has not always been in accordance with its characteristicsand did not app£v an adequate methodology which oftenbrought to suboptimum solutions.Accordingly, traffic science is treated as an independent scientificfield called 'traffic' within technical sciences. Thus,having a definite object of research it would best fulfill its roleand accomplish its task.References
